About Me…

Having a positive outlook on life is very important to me; I try to find the good in every situation.  I am very easy-going and quiet, a bit too quiet at times.  Family and friends are a very important part of my life.  I was born and raised in Caldwell County and have lived here all my life.  I enjoy traveling, but have never traveled outside of the United States; I would love to travel to Italy someday. 

Some things I like…hum…I like spending time with my family, especially summers at Lake Norman.  My grandparents have a place on Lake Norman, and that is probably one of my most favorite places to go, it has a very serene and relaxing place for me and some of my fondest memories are from summers spent there.   I am an animal lover, especially my two dogs Sasha and Izzie and I would probably have more animals if I had the space.  

Dislikes…I really dislike rudeness and people who are inconsiderate of others.  I can also be impatient at times and don’t like waiting, especially when I am in a hurry.  Clutter drives me crazy, I like things to be neat and for everything to have its place. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My Name…

Stacy is a very versatile name and is considered to be both Feminine and Masculine, however after the 1950′s it became generally known as a Feminine name.  There are also many ways in which it can be spelled, Stacy, Stacey, Stacie, Staci, and Stacee.  According to Behind the Name  Stacy is short for Anastasia and also derived from the surname Stace.  Anastasia is Greek and Russian and Feminine form of Anastasius. This was the name of a mid-century Dalmatian saint who was martyred during the persecutions of the Roman emperor Diocletian.  Before going to this website I had no idea that Stacy is short for Anastasia, it was also neat to discover the meaning behind Anastasia as well.

I also checked out the website How Many of Me and found out that there are 212,837 people with the name Stacy in the United States, 5,214 people in the United States with Oxford as a last name, and only 4 people in the United States named Stacy Oxford.  I have to say I was pretty surprised that there are so many people with the first name Stacy, because to me it’s not a very common name.
